How to Cancel Your OpenSky Subscription
We're sorry to see you go! This guide will walk you through the process of canceling your OpenSky subscription and what to expect afterward.
Cancellation Process
Step 1: Access Your Account Settings
- Log in to your OpenSky account
- Click on the action menu button "..." near your profile icon in the bottom left corner
- Select Settings from the dropdown menu
Step 2: Navigate to Billing
- In the Account Settings page, find the Billing or Subscription section
- Click on Manage Subscription
- You'll see your current plan details and billing information
Step 3: Cancel Subscription
- Find the Cancel Subscription button
- Click Cancel Subscription
- You'll be asked to provide feedback (optional but helpful)
- Confirm your cancellation when prompted
What Happens After Cancellation
Immediate Effects
- Your subscription will end immediatley
- You will be automatically downgraded to a free account
- No further charges will be processed
- You'll receive a confirmation email
Data Retention
- Your data is safe: All your calendars, courses, and student records are retained
- Access limitations: You may have view-only access on the free plan
- Export option: You can export your data at any time before or after cancellation
- Deletion: If you want complete data deletion, contact support separately
Refund Policy
Eligibility
- Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis
- New subscribers may be eligible for a refund within the first 14 days
How to Request a Refund
- Email support@openskyplanner.com with:
- Your account email
- Subscription details
- Reason for refund request
- Our team will review and respond within 2-3 business days
- Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
Want to Delete Account Completely
Canceling your subscription doesn't delete your account. To permanently delete:
- First cancel your subscription and wait for it to expire
- Email support@openskyplanner.com requesting account deletion
- Confirm your identity
- Your account and all data will be permanently deleted within 30 days
Note: Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All data will be lost.

Q: Will I receive a confirmation when my subscription is canceled? A: Yes, you'll receive a confirmation email immediately after canceling.
