What OpenSky is, who it is for, and how a homeschool uses it day to day.

OpenSky is a homeschool planner that turns your curriculum into a daily checklist for each student, keeps the schedule moving when life gets in the way, monitors progress, and builds your records from the work that actually gets done.

It is built for families who want their kids to learn more independently. You decide what gets studied. OpenSky tells each student what to do today and records the result.

## How it works

1. **You add courses.** Build them in the course editor, upload a table of contents for AI to turn into lessons, or pick one of the 2,000+ community templates.
2. **Schedules the courses.** Each course is paced according to your preferences and automatically adjusts to your school calendar. Add an impromptu field trip or skip a day and every lesson shifts to fit.
3. **Students work from the Checklist.** Each student opens their own checklist, does the work, and ticks it off. They can leave comments, upload work, or submit lessons for you to review.
4. **Records build themselves.** Completed lessons feed attendance, the gradebook, transcripts, and a printable portfolio, so there is no scramble.

## Who uses it

- Parents teaching one student or many. One subscription covers unlimited students.
- Households with more than one parent or guardian. Everyone you invite gets full access.
- Students, through their own sign-in on the web, in the iOS and Android apps, or on a printed checklist.
